Therapy with Me
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy should be accessible, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. My work is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. I provide all of my sessions through secure online therapy (Telehealth), making therapy flexible and accessible from the comfort of your home.
In addition to Telehealth, I also offer walk & talk therapy as an occasional alternative, giving clients the chance to step outside the virtual space and connect in nature when the season and weather allow.
Telehealth Counseling
Most of my sessions are held via secure telehealth, which allows us to connect in a way that is convenient, private, and flexible. Telehealth is a great option for clients with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or those who prefer the comfort of their own space. All you need is a quiet, private place and a reliable internet connection.
Walk & Talk Therapy
Sometimes it’s easier to open up while moving. Walk and talk therapy is an occasional alternative to telehealth sessions where we meet outdoors and walk side by side while engaging in therapy.
Benefits include:
Gentle movement that supports stress relief and emotional regulation
The calming, restorative effects of nature
A setting that can make conversations feel less intimidating and more natural
Because walk and talk therapy is seasonal and weather-dependent, it is not offered as a weekly option. When conditions are not safe or comfortable, we return to telehealth sessions.
Modalities I Use
My therapeutic approach is holistic and evidence-based. Depending on your needs and goals, I integrate tools and techniques from several modalities:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Building skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Clarifying values and learning to take meaningful action, even in the face of challenges.
Narrative Therapy: Exploring and reshaping the stories we tell about ourselves.
Trauma-Informed Practices: Creating safety and compassion while addressing the impacts of past experiences.
